Keeping Score at Motto McLean
The Corporal Daegan Page Foundation is excited to partner with the Omaha Parks Foundation to bring a brand-new scoreboard to the Motto McLean Ice Arena.
This project is very close to our hearts. Motto McLean is a staple of the Omaha hockey community, and it is a place where many local athletes—including Daegan—grew up playing the game.
A Meaningful Upgrade
While the old scoreboard served the community for many years, it was time for an update. This new memorial scoreboard will help improve the experience for everyone who uses the rink, including:
Youth Hockey Players: Kids learning the game will have a clear, modern way to keep track of the action.
Families and Fans: Spectators in the stands will find it easier to follow along with every goal and penalty.
Community Groups: From figure skaters to local leagues, every group that calls Motto McLean home will benefit from this upgrade.
Honoring Daegan’s Roots
Before Daegan became a U.S. Marine, he was a kid on the ice. He spent time at Omaha’s Ice Rinks (Including Motto McLean) , learning about teamwork and building friendships that lasted a lifetime. Supporting this rink is our way of giving back to the place where Daegan’s love for the game first started.
We are proud to see Daegan’s name associated with a place that brings so much joy and community spirit to Omaha. This scoreboard is a reminder of his legacy and his passion for the sport.
