What is Anchor Commons?
We chose the name "Anchor Commons" because it reflects both our mission and the spirit of the community we serve. The "anchor" symbolizes stability, safety, and a firm foundation—qualities that we strive to provide in supporting our mission community. "Commons" represents a shared space where everyone is welcome, emphasizing our commitment to creating a community hub that fosters connections and collaboration.
Why the Name “Anchor Commons”?

Whether you're planning a support group, a social gathering, or a professional meeting, we welcome mission-aligned events that bring people together with purpose.
Why It Matters
The Huddle A Veteran Peer Group Where sports fans gather to watch the game, share stories, and stay connected—because sometimes the best conversations happen during halftime.
Gold Star Chapters A Book Club for Adult Sisters of the Fallen Turning pages and opening hearts—this monthly gathering is where shared stories lead to deep connection and lifelong support.
Hearts & Hands Club A Veteran Spouses Group A weekly meetup for card games, laughter, and the kind of company that just gets it. Because joy, like service, is better when shared.
Semper Parents Circle For Parents of Active Duty Marines An every other month space for encouragement, shared pride, and community support—because service extends far beyond the uniform.
Local Business Meetups Small business teams looking for a professional-yet-relaxed meeting space that’s not their office.
Veteran-Supporting Nonprofits Organizations seeking a welcoming, mission-aligned space to host programming.
