About Corporal Daegan Page Foundation

The Corporal Daegan Page Foundation was created to honor the life and sacrifice of U.S. Marine Corporal Daegan William-Tyeler Page. Daegan was one of the 13 American service members killed during the evacuation at Kabul Airport on August 26, 2021. He was a son, a boyfriend, a brother, a friend, and a Marine who believed in service, loyalty, and love for his country.

This foundation exists because his life mattered. His story continues. What he stood for lives on through the people and communities he touched. We are here to carry that forward.

What We Do

We work with families, veterans, and active-duty members to meet real needs. We share stories and provide resources. We host events that bring people together. We give scholarships and partner with others who share our goals.

The Corporal Daegan Page Foundation is about more than remembering one Marine. It’s about continuing what he started. Service. Strength. Love that never ends.

The Corporal Daegan Page Foundation was built in the wake of personal loss, not as an idea, but as a promise—to carry on the life, love, and values of one Marine who gave everything. That origin shapes everything we do.

We are not a large, generalized organization. We are personal. We know the names. We sit with the families. We show up in the small moments and the hard ones. Our work is born from lived experience, not just a mission statement.

What makes us different:

  • We lead with love, not bureaucracy. Every initiative is shaped by the belief that love never ends. We don’t just provide services; we create relationships.

  • We honor both the fallen and the living. While Daegan’s sacrifice is our foundation, we serve the needs of those who continue to serve and those who carry the weight of loss.

  • We build community, not just programs. From Gold Star family support to scholarships and service member outreach, we create spaces where people feel seen, heard, and remembered.

  • We’re rooted in Daegan’s story. His values—loyalty, strength, humility, guide our decisions. We move with purpose, not just policy.

  • We act locally and impact personally. While our mission reaches nationally, our presence is felt most in the one-on-one conversations, handshakes, and hugs at home.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • The initial funds came from the public's generous support, however most of those funds were depleted by the mid 2024. Going forward we will be soliciting donations from the community to continue our efforts. 


    Daegan's family is a large contributor of the foundation, however due to legal regulations, their contributions can be no more than 1/3 of the annual donation amount.

  • We do not have any full time staff members, but we do have a part-time Executive Director. Our Executive Director is Garrett; his primary duties include program administration, fundraising, and strategic planning.

  • No. The donations received by the Foundation are fully dedicated to furthering our mission of supporting past and present service members, their communities, and honoring the legacy of Daegan. While members of Daegan's family are actively involved in running the Foundation, they do not personally receive donations or benefit from them. Their involvement is rooted in love, remembrance, and a desire to make a meaningful impact.

    Our part-time executive director—one of Daegan’s brothers—does receive a modest, below-market stipend for his leadership role. This compensation is intentionally limited and designed to reflect the Foundation’s commitment to directing as much funding as possible toward programs and services that support our mission.

  • It’s a reminder that the love we hold for those we’ve lost doesn’t fade. It continues—in the stories we share, the lives we impact, and the way we choose to show up for others.

    Cpl. Daegan Page lived with fierce loyalty, deep compassion, and a quiet strength. His love for his family, his brothers-in-arms, and his country lives on in the work of this foundation.

    • We believe that grief and love walk hand in hand—and that healing grows from both.

    • We advocate for a world where no veteran, family, or Gold Star loved one is left behind.

  • “DaeWay” comes from one of Daegan’s nicknames, “Dae,” and it captures the spirit of how he lived his life.
