Join Us at Anchor Commons During the College Baseball Championship

If you are heading down to the championship games this summer, Anchor Commons is ready to welcome you. Located right in the heart of the action at 1330 Mike Fahey Street, we are opening our doors to celebrate community, support our troops, and give our military families a place to recharge. Here is everything you need to know about how to use our space while the games are in town.

Pre-Game: Open to the Public

Doors open two hours before the first pitch of each game.

Heading to the stadium early? Swing by Anchor Commons first. Our doors are open to everyone in the community. Come inside to beat the summer heat, learn more about the Corporal Daegan Page Foundation, and visit our hospitality center.

We have you covered with:

  • Cold bottled water and snacks to keep you fueled for the day.

  • Secure lockers to store the items you do not want to carry around the stadium.

Our hospitality center runs entirely on a donation-based system. Every contribution goes directly toward our programs to support past and present service members, their families, and our local community.

Spread Some Love: While you are here, please stop by our card-making station for the Love Never Ends initiative. You can take a few minutes to write a meaningful note or draw a picture for our service members who are currently deployed. It is a small action that brings immense joy and a piece of home to a service member stationed far away.

Game Time: The Buddy Lounge

Opens 30 minutes after each game begins.

Thirty minutes after the baseball action starts on Mike Fahey Street, Anchor Commons will close to the general public so we can open the Buddy Lounge. This is a private, dedicated space just for active duty service members, veterans, and Gold Star families.

Daegan had a tough outer shell, but he had a huge heart. He absolutely loved sports, working hard, and just relaxing with his buddies. We built the Buddy Lounge to capture that exact spirit. It is a safe, comfortable space to get out of the heavy crowds, cool down, and feel right at home.

Inside the lounge, you can:

  • Sink into our comfortable couch and relax in the air conditioning.

  • Play a round of pool with fellow veterans on our table.

  • Watch the live broadcast on our 100 inch TV.

  • Grab a complimentary soda, water, and snack.

How to Access the Buddy Lounge: To keep this space secure and exclusive for our military community, we use a simple digital entry system. When you get to the door, just follow these quick steps:

  1. Scan the QR code on the door using your smartphone camera.

  2. Fill out a short form with your basic information.

  3. Upload a photo of your ID and a quick selfie to verify your identity.

  4. You will receive a secure door code sent straight to your phone.

Once you have your code, type it into the keypad and come on in. This space is yours, and we are honored to have you here.
